Karkala: An autorickshaw driver was killed and another injured in a head-on collision between a car and an auto-rickshaw near St Dominic Church at Miyar here on Wednesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as auto driver Chandrashekhar. His brother who was traveling with him on the auto sustained serious injuries in the accident, sources said.
The impact was so severe that the auto was completely wrecked and unrecognizable. The front portion of the car was also damaged.
Luckily, the driver of the car escaped with minor injuries.
A case has been registered at the Karkala city police station.
