Karkala: Baradi Beedu ‘Soorya-Chandra’ Jodukere Kambala results announced

Karkala: The curtains came down on the 36th edition of the Baradi Beedu “Soorya-Chandra” Jodukere Kambala. It was a successful event with the participation of 176 buffalo pairs.

As per the categories, in the Kane Halage section, two pairs participated. Likewise, in Adda Halage – 4, Hagga Hiriya – 19, Negilu Hiriya – 31, Hagga Kiriya – 24, and Negilu Kiriya – 96.

The speciality of the Kambala was that in the Adda Halage category, Naravi Yuvaraj Jain’s buffalos won first place for the third consecutive time, making it a hattrick. In the Hagga Kiriya, Mudukodi Ganesh Narayan Pandit’s A-B buffalos won first and second place, respectively.

In the Kane Halage category, Vamanjoor Tiruvailuguttu Naveenchandra Alva won first place with Byndoor Bhaskar Devadiga on Halage. Second place was bagged by Beladi Bava Ashok Shetty with Tekkatte Sudheer Devadiga on Halage.

In the Adda Halage category, Naravi Yuvaraj Jain won first place with Bhatkal Harish on Halage. Second place by Valpady Halaje Louis Lawrence Saldanha with Tekkatte Sudheer Devadiga on Halage.

In the Hagga Kiriya category, Nandalike Srikanth Bhat “B” won first place with Byndoor Vivek Poojary on Halage. Second place was bagged by Hokkadigoli Hakkeri Sanat Kumar Shetty on Halage.

In the Negilu Hiriya category, Venur Mudukodi Ganesh Narayan Pandit “B” won the first and second place, respectively with Byndoor Vivek Poojary on Halage.

In the Negilu Kiriya category, Renjala Sanad Bakyaru Nimish Mahesh Poojary won first place with Bhatkal Shankar on Halage. Second place was bagged by Nitte Parappadi Nihal Kotian with Attur Kodange Sudheer Salian on Halage.
