Karkala: Man dresses up as Koragajja, uploads photo on whatsapp; booked

Karkala: A case was registered against a man in Edu village, Karkala for allegedly hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus by dressing up as Koragajja and uploading photos on WhatsApp.
The accused Raveendra who works for a Yakshagana Mela wore the costumes and make-up of Koragajja on January 18 and uploaded the photos on WhatsApp.
However, Raveendra argued that he has done nothing wrong and will continue to upload photos of him depicting other characters.
A complaint has been filed in Karkala rural police station.
