Karkala: A man in an inebriated state was robbed by two miscreants who approached him on the pretext of dropping him off at the bus stop in Karkala.

The man, a resident Renjala Kadambakkar runs a bakery business in Bengaluru. He had visited his native to attend a function here.

On January 5, he was supposed to leave for Bengaluru. As there was still time for the bus to arrive, he went to a nearby bar to get a drink.

Following this, he was walking towards his bus stand and two men offered him a ride. He agreed and the miscreants robbed him of his cash and valuables.

When the victim woke from his drunken stupor, he found that his 40-gram golden chain, two finger rings, Rs 1500 in cash, and cell phone were missing. The stolen valuables are estimated to be worth Rs 1.52 lakhs.
