Karnataka MLC elections: Nomination process begins

Dharwad: The process of filing nomination papers for the Karnataka Vidhana Parishad elections scheduled for June 13 has begun.

In the Karnataka West Teachers’ constituency, which had areas of Gadag, Haveri, and Uttara Kannada Districts, nomination papers are being accepted at the Dharwad Deputy Commissioner’s office from May 19 to May 26, excluding government holidays from 11 am to 3 pm.

The verification of the nominations will be done on May 27 at 11 AM at Belagavi DC’s office and the last date for withdrawing the nomination papers is on May 30 before 3 PM, a press release said.

None submitted their nominations on the first day, said Dharwad DC Gurudatt Hegde.
