Kasaragod: 54-yo man’s death due to head injury; Son-in-law arrested for murder

Kasaragod: The son-in-law of the 54-year-old man who died due to a head injury has been arrested by Chandera police for his murder.

The accused has been identified as Ratheesh (36), who is the son-in-law of the victim M V Balakrishnan, a resident of Thrikkaripura.

Police said that the accused was produced before the Magistrate who remanded him to police custody.

Balakrishnan, a welder by profession, was living alone after some domestic disagreements with his wife. He was found critically injured at his home on Tuesday morning. He was rushed to a hospital where he breathed his last. Ratheesh and Balakrishnan had disagreements regarding a property dispute, police said.
