Kasaragod: Thief gets caught while trying to unlock stolen phone at repair shop

Kasaragod: A person who had stolen a mobile phone was caught while trying to unlock the same at a mobile shop here in Manjeshwar.

The accused, identified as Siddique Shafiq Farhan (27), had reportedly stolen a mobile phone from a labourer near Manjeshwar Hosabettu Pandyala mosque. As the stolen phone was locked, he took it to a mobile shop nearby to get it unlocked.

However, the shop owner got suspicious of Siddique’s behaviour and alerted the police about it.

Police who rushed to the mobile phone detained Siddique for questioning. During the interrogation, he reportedly confessed to having stolen the phone.
