Kasargod: Customs officials seize Rs 1.25 crore worth gold, 2 held

Kasargod: Customs officials at the Kannur international airport apprehended two inbound air passengers and confiscated gold valuing Rs 1.25 crore from their possession.
The passengers identified as Mohammed Mustafa, a resident of Periya and Abdul Hakeem, a resident of Nadapur had arrived from Abu Dhabhi.
Mustafa tried to smuggle 690 gram of gold hidden inside a micro oven and 59 gram of gold concealed in a powder tin and Abdul Hakeem had hidden 1548 gram of gold in microoven.
