Kaup: Absconding accused arrested, sent to 14-day judicial custody.

Kaup: A 39-year-old absconding accused was arrested by Kaup town police from Meerakorana Halli in Vijayanagara district on April 24.

A case had been filed against the accused identified as Nagana Gowda in 2014 for allegedly sending obscene messages to a woman from Kaup taluk. The victim’s husband in his complaint had alleged that Gowda would call the woman threatening to upload her photos on social media.

The court had issued a warrant against the accused in the year 2016 after he skipped court hearing and went absconded overseas. Recently Gowda returned to his native. Police on getting this information arrested him from his native place.

He was produced before the court which remanded him to 14 days of judicial custody.
