
Keduru: Bike accident kills a youth on the spot

Tekkatte: A youth died on the spot due to excessive blood loss after he lost control of the bike that he was riding and crashed into another bike on Tuesday night near Keduru GP in Kundapur taluk.
The deceased is identified as son of the owner of Sri Saibaba Auto Works, Shanadi resident Ramachandra Kulal (26).
It is being said that the deceased was riding his bike at high speeds from Charukatte to Keduru when he lost control of his bike near a bend along the road and crashed head-on to the bike coming from the opposite side being ridden by Arun Kumar Shetty, resident of Hosamata Aralikatte, a teacher by profession, who was proceeding from Tekkatte to Hosamata.
The teacher Arun, suffered grievous injuries to his head and is being treated at a private hospital in Manipal.
It is being said that the deceased is married and had dropped his pregnant wife back at her mother’s place in Bengaluru just two days back. He is survived by his wife, mother father and a sister.
Delayed arrival of the ambulance
Immediately after the accident, a call was made for 108 ambulance, but no quick response was availed and in this backdrop, a private ambulance reached the accident spot after considerable delay and The locals have expressed much anger to this fact. Soon after the accident, Kota police station Inspector Nityananda Gowda rushed to the spot, carried out inspection and booked a case.
