Bengaluru: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will release the first list of candidates for the upcoming assembly elections in Karnataka on Monday, March 20.
The announcement was made by the state unit president Prithvi Reddy after participating in a grand yatra organized on behalf of AAP candidate Suresh Rathore in Pulakeshi Nagar, Bengaluru on Sunday.
The AAP has been gaining attention from the masses due to its revolutionary pro-people decisions and has expressed confidence that people will vote for them. Reddy said, “The people of the state want change due to the misrule of JCB (JDS, Congress, BJP) parties.” He expressed hope that candidate Suresh Rathore will be elected by the people as a solution to the chaos in the Pulakeshi Nagar constituency.
The party has finalized the list of candidates for the first phase and is set to publish it on March 20. Reddy stated that they are also considering releasing the list of the second phase on March 27.
It is expected that the AAP will announce the names of 120 candidates in its first list. Brijesh Kalappa from Chikkapet, Mohan Dasari from C. V. Raman Nagar, K Mathai from Shantinagar, and Anekal Doddaiah from Rona are among the likely candidates to be included in the first list.
