Mangaluru: AICC central election committee member Veerappa Moily stated that the people of Karnataka are fed up with the state government’s failure in governance, and an atmosphere is being witnessed for the rise of the Congress government. The ground report also suggests that Congress will come to power in the upcoming Karnataka Assembly Elections, he claimed.
Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, March 5, Moily said that the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has finalized the list of Congress candidates for the elections. The screening committee will hold a meeting on March 7-8 to finalize the list, which will be sent to the Central Election Committee. The first list will be released within a month, he added.
Moily further noted that many Congress workers are showing their willingness to contest in the elections, and the stronger the competition for the post of a candidate, the stronger the party will be. He also stated that if Congress comes to power, all the scams during the current government’s tenure will be investigated.
Several leaders, including Abhayachandra Jain, Ivan D’Souza, Shashidhar Hegde, and Naveen D’Souza, were also present at the event.
