
K’taka State Cabinet approves Siddapur Lift Irrigation Project of Kundapur taluk

Bengaluru: The Karnataka State Cabinet has approved the Siddapur Lift Irrigation project which will provide irrigation facilities to the farmers of Ajri, Kodladi, Amparu, Karkunje, Siddapur, and other villages of Kundapur taluk.
The decision was taken on Thursday, August 25, by State Irrigation Minister Govind Karjol after discussing issues faced by the farmers with the concerned officials.
The farmers of the villages were cut off from irrigation facilities as the villages were falling on the right side of the Varahi Baladande Canal.
It can be noted that the several villages of Kundapur taluk incorporate a major portion of agricultural land in the Udupi district.
