Kundapur: One killed, eight injured after car falls off the flyover

Kundapur: A woman was killed and eight people were grievously injured, after a speeding car overturned and fell off the flyover on Sunday

The deceased has been identified as Vasanthi (35) from Hattikudru. The injured were also Hattikudru residents and have been admitted to the nearby hospital for treatment

It is said that one of the injured person’s daughter’s marriage was performed at Sastan on May 13 and the family were on their way to escort the bride to her parental home as per custom

When the car approached the flyover at high speed, it hit the protective wall of the flyover in front of KSRTC bus stand, overturned, and fell off.

The locals immediately lifted the car and helped in admitting injured persons into hospitals.
