Uppunda: The body of a student named Sayeesh Shetty (18), who had jumped off the Herikudri bridge to the river on the Kundapur-Byndoor National Highway after being upset with his NEET exam results, is now recovered.
The body was found on the seashores of Navunda Beach on Friday, September 9, morning.
On Thursday, September 8, Sayeesh jumped into the river from the bridge, after knowing that he had secured lower than expected marks in the NEET Exams.
Upset by the results, he had taken this hasty decision.
The Kundapur Police and a team of expert swimmers with the help of locals were engaged in the search operations on Thursday. However, strong currents in the river had hampered the search operations.
Suicide is preventable. If you get any such thoughts, consult or seek expert help.
