Kundapur: In a tragic incident a 20-year-old youth died in a road accident while he was on the way to attend his grandfather’s funeral procession.

The deceased, Nitesh Poojari was a second-year MBBS student at the Government Medical College in Chamarajanagar.

It is learnt that despite his family’s advice to not come immediately, Nitesh was headed home to attend the last rites of his grandfather Narayana Poojari (70) as he was very attached to the latter.

However, tragedy befell the family as Nitesh who was riding a bike failed to notice a hump and fell off the bike near the Panyadahandi bend in Chamarajanagar taluk.
