Kundapura: Brother-sister duo pass away on same day

Kundapura/Siddapura: An incident where a brother and sister died on the same day was reported from Marikodlu Muddgada in Belve village in the taluk here.

The deceased were Subbanna Naik (65) and his sister Girija (60).

Girija had died at home at around 2 pm on Monday afternoon. Subbanna died of a heart attack at around 7 pm at a hospital in Halady.

The two lived in separate houses in the same neighbourhood.

Subbanna suffered a heart attack while he was preparing for Girija’s funeral. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital but died without responding to treatment.

Later both the siblings funeral were held together.
