Kundapura: Cycle rider dies after collision with car

Kundapur: An incident where a cyclist was killed after being collided by a car was reported from Jalady near Hemmadi in the taluk here.

Rama Kulal (60), a resident of Hemmadi’s Santoshnagar, was the deceased.

The accident occurred when Kulal was riding from Hemmadi on his bicycle to Tallur. He turned the bicycle to cross the road when a car on its way from Byndoor towards Kundapur collided with him.

The force of the collision made Kulal fall a few metres away from his cycle and he sustained serious injuries to the head and leg.

He was immediately rushed to a hospital at Gangolli where he was declared brought dead.
