Kuvempu University awards Ph D to Additional DC Kumar

Mangaluru: Kuvempu University has awarded Ph D to Additional Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada District Kumar for his thesis entitled “The role of e-governance in the modernization of land records : A Sociological Study in Karnataka.”

Kuvempu University Professor Dr Gurulingaiah guided Mr Kumar on the research work for the thesis.

a KAS officer of the 2005 batch, Kumar is a post graduate and also has a B.Ed degree. Originally, he is from Hassan. He served as a lecturer in Gundlupete Pre-University College of Chamrajnagar district before appearing for KAS exams.

He has served as Assistant Commissioner in Bijapur and Tumkur and as Additional DC of Udupi district before being appointed as Additional DC of Dakshina Kannada District.
