Landslide at Ballupete: Track restoration complete, train services resume

The South Western Railway has announced the restoration of train services on the Mysuru division following the clearance of a landslide between Sakleshpur and Ballupete stations. The track has been fully restored and certified fit for train operations, according to Bulletin No. 8 issued by the South Western Railway on August 13, 2024.
Train services, which were canceled as per Bulletin No. 7 on August 11, 2024, will continue to remain canceled. Specifically, Train No. 07378 Mangaluru Central – Vijayapura Express Special, scheduled for August 14, 2024, has been confirmed as canceled.
The bulletin further states that all other train services will resume from August 14 as per their previously scheduled dates and timings. Passengers are advised to check the updated schedules before planning their journeys.
