Bengaluru: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Saturday asserted that Laxman Savadi will continue as Deputy Chief Minister for the complete term of the government.

His remarks come in the backdrop of rumours that the BJP might drop Savadi from the post of deputy chief minister to accommodate Ramesh Jarkiholi who was assured of a DyCM berth.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of his campaign for bypolls to Athani and Kagwad Assembly constituencies here Yediyurappa asked BJP workers and Savadi’s supporters not to worry about the rumours and work for the victory of party candidates in the bypolls. He further informed that BJP National President Amit Shah has assured that Savadi will remain in the post.
