Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister Lakshman Savadi has urged Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to construct Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) hospitals to treat Covid-19 patients in Karnataka
“I congratulate Shri Rajnath Singh for the construction of DRDO temporary hospitals to treat COVID-19 patients in Ahmedabad, Varanasi, Lucknow and New Delhi. Similarly, DRDO hospital must be built in Karnataka too as the cases here are rising and doctors are facing immense pressure,” DyCM said in a letter to the Defence Minister
He further said, “There are several acres of defence land in Bengaluru and Belagavi and it is best to construct Covid hospitals there. I request the defence minister to take appropriate action in this regard,” he added
