Let ‘Alupostsava’ become a national level programme: Dr Jayamala

Brahmavar: Every year, Barkur ‘Alupostsava’ must be conducted successfully. It is my dream to make it a national level programme, said Dr Jayamala speaking on the occasion of ‘Alupostsava’ at Nandarayana Kote in Barkur on Sunday Jan 27th.

On the occasion, minister Jayamala presented the Alupashri award to principal and historian B Jagadish Shetty.

Mr Shetty spoke after receiving the award and said, I have become the target to many peoples anger for my attempts to protect several monuments in Barkur. But my aim is to protect history. Along with beach and religious tourism, the district administration should also give importance to history tourism, he advised.
