New Delhi: The government while announcing extension of lockdown till May 17 allowed certain relaxations in orange and green zones.

As per the new guidelines issued by the ministry, sale of liquor has been permitted in orange and green zones, except for malls, marketing complexes, and in containment areas. The same is applicable for paan shops. However not more than 5 persons can be present at the shops at a time and people must ensure minimum six feet distance from each other.

“Shops selling liquor, paan, gutka, tobacco etc. in public places will ensure minimum six feet distance (2 gaz ki doori) from each other, and also that not more than 5 persons are present at one time at the shop, ” reads the order issued by MHA.
