Malali robbery case: Three held; cash, weapons seized

Mangaluru: Just three days after a four-member gang waylaid a private financier and robbed him of Rs 2.05 lakhs in cash, the Bajpe police have arrested three persons in connection with the case.

Ashlesh A Kotian of Ulaibettu, Abdul Azeez Naushad of Mulur and Muhammad Mustafa of Kaikamba are the arrested persons. Police confiscated a Bajaj Discover motor bike, Rs 21,800 cash, three mobile phones, a machete and a knife from their possession.

On July 14, the victim Senthil Kumar of Maroli was waylaid and threatened at knife-point by the gang. A case in this connection was registered in the Bajpe police station.

The arrested have confessed to the crime during primary interrogation. A search is underway for other accused in this case
