Man from Kundapur arrested in Saudi for provocative Facebook post on Mecca

Kundapur/Damman: A man from Kundapur was arrested by the Saudi police for allegedly uploading a provocative post against Islam’s Holy Kaaba site in Mecca and Saudi’s Prince on Facebook.

The arrested is identified as Harish Bangera, a resident of Kundapur. He was employed as an air-conditioning technician for a company in Damman.

Harish on Saturday, December 21 posted a picture of Holy Kaaba site in Mecca on his Facebook page and wrote, “All my Hindu brothers next Ram Mandir in Mecca, be ready for fight, Jai Sri Ram. Modi with us.”

The Saudi police acting upon the complaint arrested Harish. Meanwhile, the company, Gulf Carton Factory Co, where Harish was working, terminated him
