New Delhi: A man today allegedly made obscene gesture to a woman in Vijay Vihar area of Rohini, following which she beat him up and handed him over to the Delhi Police.

The woman was on her way to deposit money to a bank when the man came near her and started making lewd gestures, the police said. She initially ignored him but the man later started harassing a 12-year-old girl standing nearby, the police said.

The woman caught hold of the man and pushed him to the ground. Local residents also joined her in thrashing him. They later handed him over to the police.

The woman alleged she was made to wait for three hours at the police station for getting the case registered.
