Bengaluru: The police arrested an electrician who had uploaded the morphed photograph of his girlfriend and her family on a social media platform after she allegedly refused to accept his love proposal.
The arrested man is a native of Kabaluragi. He was working in Bengaluru and had lost his job during lockdown 1 after which he had gone back to his native.
As he was unable to find a job in his native as well, he started a troll page on Instagram. A few months later he befriended a girl on social media and fell in love with her.
However, the girl was not interested in him. As she continued to ignore him he decided to tarnish her family’s image by uploading her morphed photograph on the internet.
He morphed the picture of a woman, her mother, and her brother and posted it on Instagram.
The accused then started to call the victim on her phone and verbally abuse her. Unable to take it anymore she filed a case with the Cyber Police Department.
Following the complaint, the police finally arrested the accused for uploading a morphed photograph.
