Mangala Angadi wins Belgaum LS bypoll after thrilling contest

Belagavi: Mangala Angadi, wife of late MP Suresh Angadi, has won the Belgaum Lok Sabha constituency by-election.
Mangala’s victory over her Congress rival Satish Jarkiholi was no less thrilling.
Mangala was in the lead in the opening rounds of the vote count but later suffered a setback.
For the 35 rounds of the vote count, Jarkiholi was consistently in the lead.
However, after the 80th round of Mangala returned to lead and finally won.
