Mangaluru: 21-year-old Haniya Haneef earns pilots wings

Mangaluru: Haniya Haneef from Pandeshwar in the city, has accomplished her childhood dream of becoming a pilot. Haniya now holds a commercial pilot’s license at the young age of just 21 years.
She is the daughter of Muhammad Haneef and Nazia, originally from Kaup and currently residing in Pandeshwar.
Haniya completed her education up to the 9th standard at The Indian High School in Dubai. She then attended Lourdes Central School for the 10th standard and pursued her PU education at Mahesh Pre-University College. Following her passion for aviation, she underwent pilot training at Orient Flights Aviation Academy in Mysuru.
After an intensive training period of three-and-a-half years, Haniya successfully obtained her commercial pilot’s license with 200 hours of flying experience.
Haniya’s mother, Nazia, expressed her pride in her daughter’s achievement, stating, “Hania had aspired to become a pilot since childhood. We thought her dreams might change as she grew older, but after completing her PU education, she expressed her desire to pursue piloting. We are immensely proud that she has fulfilled her long-cherished dream.”
