Mangaluru: 35-yo held for sending obscene message to lady just before engagement

Mangaluru: A 35-year-old man was arrested by the city police for allegedly sending obscene messages to a girl with whom he was about to get engaged.

The arrested is Srinivas Bhat from Alake, Kudroli here.

Discussions had been held between the families of Bhat and the girl and both sides had agreed for their marriage.

After a few days, Bhat, who collected the girl’s mobile number, started to send her messages. Many of the messages were vulgar or unwarranted in nature.

Frustrated girl informed about Srinivas’s behavior to her family members who postponed the engagement. Thereafter he continued to send offending messages including some about gay sex.

The family, hurt by his behavior, filed a complaint in the cybercrime police station here based on which the police arrested the accused.
