Mangaluru: 783 names struck off rowdy sheet

Mangaluru: The Mangaluru city police have removed the names of 783 people from the rowdy sheet.

At the Parivarthana Sabha, organized by the Mangaluru city police, at Roshni Nilaya, city police commissioner N Shashi Kumar said the city had 2305 rowdy sheeters and of this, 783 people have been struck off the list.

Shashi Kumar encouraged them to be good citizens in society and to maintain contact with the police department in order to help prevent crime.

Last year, police removed the names of 1,256 people from the rowdy sheet.
