Mangaluru all set for arrival of Prime Minister Modi today

Mangaluru: Countdown has begun for the arrival of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Mangaluru city on Friday.
During his visit, the prime minister will inaugurate or lay foundation for developmental projects worth Rs 3,800 crore including those of the New Mangalore Port Authority and MRPL. People of the coast are also hoping that new projects will be announced for the coast.
Arrangements have been made by the district administration for welcoming the Prime Minister. The Gold Finch City ground has been readied for PM Modi’s public address.
In view of the Prime Minister’s visit, security has been tightened.
Arrival at 1 p.m.:
The Prime Minister will arrive at the Mangaluru Airport from Kochi at 1 pm and will be received by Governor of Karnataka and the Chief Minister. He will then reach NMPA to inaugurate and lay the foundation for several projects. PM Modi will proceed to Gold Finch City grounds where he will address the gathering.
INS Vikrant to be commissioned today:
Prior to his arrival in Mangaluru, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will commission India’s first indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant at Cochin Shipyard Limited in Kochi. The Prime Minister will commission the aircraft carrier at 9:30 am, a PTI report said.
