Car crashes in to tree; Father-daughter tragically killed

‎Kaikamba: A father-daughter duo was killed after a car in which they were traveling rammed into a tree near A K Urdu School in Ganjimatha Suralpadi on National Highway 169 on the morning of June 2.‎

The deceased have been identified as Ashwini of Bennur and her father Pundaleekappa (62). Whereas four other occupants of the car — Santhosh, Pushpa, Shreya, and Sohail received minor injuries.

The accident occurred when a patient, identified as Pundaleekappa of Ranibennur was being taken to Mangaluru on the WagonR car.

Due to the impact of hitting the tree, Ashwini was killed on the spot, whereas Pundalikappa died on the way to the hospital, sources said.

Bajpe police have registered a case.‎
