Mangaluru: Car owner gets two-wheeler traffic violation notice!

Mangaluru: A bizarre incident of traffic penalty has been reported from the city, in which, a fellow passenger in a car was penalized of Rs. 500 for not wearing a helmet.
As per the reports a notice regarding a traffic rules violation of a two-wheeler that took place on November 29 at Mangaladevi, was issued to a car owner on December 22. In the offence section, it is written as ‘car’, and in the type of offence section it says, ‘pillion rider without a helmet’. In the picture section, the image is of a two-wheeler with a pillion rider without wearing a helmet. A few meters away a car can also be seen.
However, while sending a notice from the Mangaluru City Traffic Police Automation Centre, the notice instead of reaching the two-wheeler owner’s address has reached the car owner’s address.
