Mangaluru: A CCTV video grab of a speeding car ploughing into a two-wheeler is widely circulating on social media.
It is gathered that the accident took place at the intersection of Kotekani Road and Kulur Ferry road near Chilimbi on February 3 at around 4 PM.
The driver of the car is seen driving down the inclined road from Kotekani and hitting a Honda Activa which was moving from Ladyhill towards Urwa Stores. A man and a woman are flung into the air and fall on road motionless.
The white-colored car fails to stop even after hitting the two-wheeler and goes on to hit the compound wall of a nearby apartment complex.
An eyewitness claimed that the car was driven by an elderly man, who claimed that he forgot to brake. The two-wheeler riders reportedly sustained serious injuries.
The identities of the parties involved in the accident were not immediately known. Further details are awaited.
