Mangaluru: Fisherman assaulted over alleged mobile theft

Mangaluru: A group of labourers from Andhra Pradesh assaulted a man for allegedly stealing a mobile phone from the boat they had gone fishing.
The victim is Vaila Sheenu, a native of Andhra Pradesh and a fisherman by profession. The incident took place while the team has ventured into the sea for fishing.
Reportedly, a phone had gone missing on the boat and the other labourers from Andhra Pradesh who were with him accused Sheenu of stealing a mobile phone.
Sheenu was hung upside down and tortured by the other labourers.
Bunder Police have taken up the case.
