Mangaluru: Man sent to judicial custody for posting threats during Dec ’19 anti-CAA violence

Mangaluru: A man was arrested by cybercrime police officials and was later sent to judicial custody by the local court here for posting threats against the police during the anti-Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizen (NRC) violence in the city in December 2019.

The man identified as Yogish (28) was reported to be a resident of Palaavanhalli in Chitradurga district.

Yogish had allegedly posted on Facebook threatening to harm the families of police officials using an account with a false identity.

After arrest, he was presented at a local court which sent him to judicial custody.
