Mangaluru: In a special meeting held on Saturday, November 21, the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) discussed the process of the soon to be released trade license app.

The app will be used to apply for new licenses or renew or cancel an existing one.

An official of the MCC stated that through the app traders have to select one of the ten categories and the sub-category of the trade license, upload required documents and photos of the shop and a selfie of themselves along with geo-tagging of their shop or establishment. Later when the approval is granted a message will be sent to the trader.

Approvals for new licenses, renewal or cancellation of licenses will take three days, added the official.
