Mangaluru: MP Kateel inaugurates train with new Vistadome compartments

Mangaluru: MP Nalin Kumar Kateel on Sunday morning green flagged the new Mangaluru-Bengaluru train with the wide-windowed, glassed ceilings Vistadome compartments at the Mangaluru Junction railway station here.
Speaking on the occasion, Kateel congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Minister of Railways for the project.
“This train is on the route that has the Subramanya temple now people can enjoy the religious and natural experiences. Two compartments with 40 seats have been added to the train along with a separate system for use by Divyang. It also has a system t display information similar to the metro trains,” Kateel said.
“Since our party has come to power, development of railways has attained speed. Mangaluru has received a large grant from the Centre for developing railway infrastructure. I congratulate the Central government for this,” he added.
MLA Vedavyas Kamath, Deputy Commissioner Dr Rajendra KV, Mayor Premanand Shetty, DRM Kothari, Corporators Sudhir, Shobha and officials from the Railways were present at the inauguration.
