Mangaluru: Mud lamp seller murder; Another accused arrested

Mangaluru: Police officials have arrested another accused in connection with the murder case of Mayavel Periasamy (52), a resident of Salem, Tamil Nadu, who traveled to Mangaluru to sell mud lamps.

The arrested accused have been identified as Murthy (45).

Ravi alias Vakil Nayka of Vulihatagali had previously been arrested in relation to the case. It is said that Murthy, who shared a rental home with Vakil Nayaka, was also involved in the murder.

On the pretext of a business deal, the accused led Periyasamy to the Kulur grounds and stabbed him to death. According to the authorities, the accused killed Periyasamy over money.
