Mangaluru: On-duty cop dies of heart attack

Mangaluru: A policeman cop died due to a cardiac arrest while on duty at the police intelligence office at Urwa on Saturday.

The deceased policeman has been identified as Rajesh B U (45) a resident of Urwa Marigudi. He was attached to the intelligence department.

According to sources, Rajesh complained of chest discomfort while on duty. He collapsed after visiting the restroom and could not be revived. He was later pronounced dead.

Rajesh belonged to the 1993 batch of Karnataka police and had previously served at Surathkal and Panambur police stations.
