Mangaluru Police arrest accused absconding abroad upon arrival from Dubai

Mangaluru: City police arrested an accused who had been absconding abroad when he arrived at Mumbai Airport.

The accused has been identified as Nawaz Shareef alias Nawaz, a resident of Valachil Adyar. He is an accused in case number 46/2020 registered at the Mangaluru North police station, police said.

According to police, about a year ago he went to a country abroad and did not appear before the court. Several warrants were pending against him and a Look Out Circular (LOC) was issued against him, they added.

Based on intel, police arrested Nawaz from Mumbai International Airport upon his arrival from Dubai.

The accused has been produced before the court, they added.
