Mangaluru: The city police officials including Mangaluru Police commissioner Shashi Kumar bid a tearful adieu and gave a guard of honour to Sudha, a sniffer dog of the crime department, who died due to illness on Saturday, July 24.
It is said that Sudha was suffering from cancer. Braveheart had served in the police department for a period of 10 years.
Shashi Kumar in a tweet said, ” Very sad to Inform that Sudha crime dog of our police force was succumbed to cancer and died. It has worked with Mangaluru city police for the last 10 years.”

The four-legged officer has been laid to rest with state honours. All those who attended the funeral, placed a wreath and paid their last respects to Sudha.
