‘Mangaluru Rathotsava’ of Sri Venkatramana Temple held in pious devotion

Mangaluru: ‘Mangaluru Rathotsava’, the grand chariot festival of the Sri Venkatramana Temple at Car Street here was held on Saturday.

Srimad Sayamindratheertha Swamiji of the Seer of Sri Kashi Matha offered Shata Kalashabhisheka, Pavamanabhisheka, and Gangabhisheka to Lord Veera Venkatesha in the morning.

Maha Poonahuti of Yagna and Maha Mangalarathi to Lord Sri Veera Venkatesha’s idol seated on the chariot were offered in the evening. Thereafter the grand Chariot (Brahmaatha) was pulled along the Car Street.

Scores of devotees participated in the religious festivities.
