Mangaluru: Two medicos arrested in drug peddling case

Mangaluru: Two medical students have been arrested in connection with the drug peddling case in Mangaluru.
The arrested accused have been identified as Raghava Dutta (28), from Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, currently residing in an apartment in Attavara and Dr Balaji (29) from Bengaluru Halsur Jodupalaya, currently residing in Falnir.
More than 100 kg of marijuana has been recovered in the past 10 days in connection with several drug trafficking network cases.
Mangaluru City Police had arrested 13 persons, including an overseas citizen of Indian origin, a medical surgeon, and a medical officer, on charges of consuming and peddling cannabis (aka marijuana, ganja) seized 2 kg of the narcotic substance on Wednesday, January 11. Of the 10 arrested, four were women.
