Mangaluru violence: C V Nagesh appointed special public prosecutor

Mangaluru: C V Nagesh, a senior criminal lawyer, has been appointed as the special public prosecutor in the Mangaluru anti-CAA violence case.
Nagesh will be arguing for the Mangaluru police and the state government in all the hearings pertaining to the case.
Violence occurred in Mangaluru on December 19, 2019, during illegal anti-CAA protests. Two rioters had died after police fired on the rioters. The state government had initiated an inquiry into the violence and firings immediately after the incident.
