March 8-9: Mata Amritanandamayi in M’luru

Mangaluru: Sadguru Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi will be visiting Mangaluru on March 8th and 9th t0o participate in the celebrations being organized at her Math’s Brahmasthana here. Two programmes, ‘Amrita Sangama – 2019’ and ‘Brahmasthana Mahotsava’ will be held during her visit which will also be an opportunity for the people of the city to have her Darshan and invoke her blessings.
Thousands of her devotees are expected to come together at the programme from throughout the country as well as from different parts of the world. The programme is being arranged in the ground of Amrita Vidyalaya near Sultan Battery here. Various programmes including pujas, oblations and other religious programmes have been arranged from dawn to dusk on both the days.
Prasad Raj Kanchan, president of Mata Amritanandamayi Seva Samiti, said that Mahaganapathi Homa will be performed at 6 am on February 10 followed by Mrityunjaya Homa at 9 am. A general meeting of the devotees of the celebrated saint in connection with preparations for her visit to the city will be held later that day at 11 am, he informed.
