Mattu beach clean up drive: About 1.5 km area cleaned by Nation First Team

Katapady: Around 70 members of Nation First Team Udupi accompanied by locals held a beach clean up drive at Mattu beach.

Waste materials such as plastic and beer bottles were collected during the cleanup.

The cleanup drive began at 8 am and went till 1 in the afternoon. About 1.5km area surrounding the beach was cleaned and three loads of waste was cleared by the support of Gram Panchayat member, Nagaraj Mendon.

Ganesh Kumar, who was one of the team members informed that they had cleaned Mattu beach before but this time to clean around 1.5km around the beach with so many people with such dedication is noteworthy.

Prakash Rao, Guide at Nation First Team, Suraj Kediyoor, Organizer; ex NCC Cadets and members of Beach friends, Harsha, Kamal, Dinesh, Yashwant participated in the beach clean up.
