MCC Corporator names her daughter after the Kathua victim

Mangaluru: After a journalist in Kerala named his new born baby as Asifa, MCC Corporator Prathibha Kulai chose to rechristen her eight-year-old daughter after the Kathua rape victim.

Addressing the media, Corporator Kulai said that the Kathua rape incident has made a lasting impressions on Indians and the memory of the little girl who was subjected to intense pain cannot be forgotten.

Prathibha said that her daughter Prithvi will have Kathua rape victim’s name prefixed to her name henceforth.
